8 days and counting and now more scared

Hi Karlene,

Sorry you've got the jitters. It sure is normal to be scared and worried about everything like pets, children, and of course the surgery. The good thing is, you won't be in the castle long and when you are home you will be able to be sure they check on the pets while you are recovering like a should.

If you feel they would not be able to handle the pets or don't want them to, then you might ask a friend who loves pets to come by and check on them from time to time.

I hope it works out, it usually does. Try not to worry about it too much. I know that's easier said than done.

I will pray all goes well for you and your surgery, your children and of course pets as well.

Keeping busy up till surgery day helped me not think about it and passed the time quickly. Best wishes to you.

Hi Karlene

I think its perfectly normal for everyone facing surgery to feel scared.... I did. That was three months ago but I remember the feeling. Keep busy, eat well, take lots of exercise to make sure you sleep at night. I'll be thinking about you.

Kind Regards
Tilly

Hi Karlene,
It is really normal what your feeling. But realize
you will only be in the hospital a few days, so
you will be home to tell everyone what they need
to do to take care of your pets. They will probably
suprise you. Im a control freak and think the world
will fall apart if Im not 100 percent able to do every
thing. But my family totally suprised me how well
they could function without me doing everything.
I thought they were so incapable, boy was I wrong!
Good luck.

Everything can live without you for a week!

Hey Karlene! I have my surgery in eight days too! I have a question to ask you...where is your husband? In other words take the time you need to feel better and do not worry about it so much. I have girl friends that have had this surgery done and they say it is no big deal....My plans are to make food ahead of time this week. Casseroles are really great and last 2-3 days, stock up on canned soup, bread, lunchmeat, and drinks. Let the old man take care of the farm.
Since my surgery is getting closer now I will be on here once twice maybe three times a day! I would love to hear back from you because I am nervous too!

Love
Suzanne
