surgery tomorrow, less stressed

TAH/BSO tomorrow. I've come to terms with needing the procedure even with the uncertain outcome thanks to this site.
There was a section titled "Something funny happened in recovery" that I read yesterday that had me smiling/laughing. I'm glad I found it pre-op instead of post-op because I don't think my stomach could have handled it. Anyways, my bag is packed with many of the items suggested in the forums, I have a container set aside with items needed post-op like stool softeners,gas x and a thermometer. I have my list of questions for my doctor and anesthesiologist before the procedure starts. My bowel prep will start in about an hour. Hopefully everything will turn out OK and I have no complications. Thanks for the site, and best wishes to those with upcoming surgery. See you post-op.

Glad to hear your stress levels are down. This site is great - isn't it? You gave me a great idea to have a container ready when I come home Post - Op instead of having to tell DH where everything is. LOL!~ Thank you for that tidbit!
