Migraines since day after surgery

sitting here to post my recovery so far. i have migraines still 4 days post op, migraines are the norm for me. had horrible back pain also, started calf pains 2 days post op. went to see my doctor on 2/16/11. she put me on Climara patch not sure of the strength she just said its in the middle of dosage strengths. i am feeling somewhat better this morning. hoping my headaches get relief soon. my surgery w/da vinci, which was long about 3 hours, i had uterus, cervix, ovarys and tubes removed, i feel like my urgency issues are so much better, i received my path report when i saw her on wednesday. says i had Adenomyosis and Salpingitis of the tubes. so hoping all my pain will be relieved. i would say overall soo glad i had minimally invasive surgery. best of health to all

I was also prone to migraines. (3 a month) I have had 2 strokes in my early 30's because of them. When I woke up from surgery, the biggest pain I had was in my right shoulder. Gradually, a migraine started. I had it a few days, until I could get home and use LOTS of steam and drink TONS of water. (Also a few pain pills) I am THRILLED to say-that was the LAST migraine I have had!! I also had cervix, uterus, tubes and both ovaries removed. I encourage you to take the healing process sllllloooooowwww. You will be thankful you did.

I've had two migraines post-surgery, but was prone to them before as well. I'm hoping that they'll be reduced now that I don't have ovaries, as they often seemed to be hormonally induced.
