Any 5 monthers out there?

Any other 5 monthers out there with swelly belly still? I guess that's what I have? It wasn't until month 3 and WHAM my jeans got tight and continue to be! My stomach is tender, I think that's normal according to other posts I've read. Does anyone else find their stomach bigger then it used to be? Some people I have talked to said, that's a normal for a hysterectomy and it will always be big? Say it isn't so!

hi lisa im out 5 half months now and i was the same at 3 months everything fit me , now nothing is comfortable ive even bought bigger size clothing but that dosent work as its to big round waist ! i dont think its going to go away either . ive put weight on as well about a stone! i dont feel comfortable enough to exercise properly yet or is that just me i dont know . hope your recovery is well x

I have gained about 8 pounds since July.....but I have been this weight before and my jeans fit fine....it's the big gut! Hope you have a good day! We need to keep our chins up, it could always be worse right!?

My tummy is still swelled . When I wake up in the morning it's normal, then I vacuum, mop, play with 4 yr old and swelling starts in the afternoon, then I do more chores make dinner, play again. By this time at night I am very swelled. I have lost 9 pounds and I still can't wear my pre hyster clothes after 5pm. I feel pretty good else wise just the swelling is stopping me from walking the catwalk in Paris.

Hi Lisa, Just a couple of days behind you. My surgery was May 4th. At the moment, after working a 9 1/2 hour day on my feet, I'm in my sweatpants that no longer have a drawstring... They seem to have no problem staying up this late in the day but tomorrow morning, they'll be way too big. I guess this is how it goes for while. I definitely like my morning tummy better.

I gained six pounds while on my six week medical leave and I've since lost three. The other three pounds seem quite comfy right where they are but then, after 9 1/2 hour days, I'm not doing my nightly walks.
