Size of incision

Ok me again, 10 days to go and counting.

I think my food is just going right through me these days. Don't think I will need the stool softner or Fleet by the time the 21st gets here. Anyway the reason for this thread is I am wondering how long the incision will be on my belly?

Thanks and my thoughts & prayers are with all of the sisters that are scheduled for tomorrow (03-12). Just remember to update those of us in waiting on how it went.

My incison is vertical from just below naval way down to where there was hair ( which thankfully it is not quite so irritating anymore) Hope your surgery goes very well.

Incisions seem to vary from 3 to 9 inches or more. It all depends on what work you're having done, the size of your uterus, etc.

Personally, mine is 8 inches, but who's counting!

I agree that the size of the incision will depend on what you're having done. My Dr. told me what to plan on ( 3 inches) when the surgery was scheduled. I woke up to a 12 inch one since he found so much endo. My surgery was May 7th and today I already feel better than I have in years so don't worry too much about the size of it, you'll feel better soon. Don't let yourself get stressed before surgery, it does no good. Keep your chin up and let us know how you're doing.

my incision seems to be shrinking, i am 10 weeks post-op....it is about 6 inches

I had my TAH/BSO 6 days ago...I just measured my incision and it is 6 1/2 inches long....across ways. It is just above my two c-section scars but still low enough to be concealed by a bikini (those days are looooooong gone, but it was a good thought anyway) . Best wishes to ya.

Thanks for the input. I am sure my Dr we give me all the answers I am asking as well. I was just wondering on the size, no actually my DH was wondering.
