No libido

I have had very little libido since my 20s, but was too shy to say anything to my doc until after I had my last child. He told me to try Progesterone cream. I did and nada. Then I moved out of state. The only time I would have any drive was before my period. Well had my hyster 3/14 and had a strong drive up until week 3 then bam back to the nada. Anyone else have problems with their libido and what did doc do? I'm going to talk to mine tomorrow even though I'm a bit embarrassed.

Don't be embarrassed! You won't be the first nor the last. Take advantage of the doctor visit and talk to him about it. In fact, when the nurse takes you to the room, tell her so she can write it down for the doctor. Then he will bring it up and you can discuss it. It's hormonal. You just need to find the right balance. You saw after the hyster, with the increased production, what it could be like. Good luck!

Mine ramped way up after surgery too... now back to usual. In fact, less than usual, but I think it is PMS. We are such victims of fluctuating hormones!! I hope they get you straightened out : (

No libido

If you guys find something that works for your libido, let me know. The doctor has changed around my hormones, and still nothing. I swear a dead person probably has more of a sex drive then me. So I am sure all you ladies can guess what that does for my husband. Keep me informed if you find anything.

No libido

I never had a strong drive, but now I have absolutely no interest at all. I don't even want to be kissed, hugged or touched in any way. I can't even imagine sex. Yes, they took my ovaries, and no, I'm not on any hormones. I also had chemo and internal & external radiation, and I'm very sore and have scar tissue in my vagina. We haven't had sex in over 9 months. At this point, I really don't care if I ever have it again, but I know that's not fair to my hubby.

Anyway, to answer your question, my doc wants me to work with the dilators to break up the scar tissue and he wants me to use lube and have sex as often as possible for functional reasons rather than for pleasure. He says the more I do it, the easier it will be and the more I will like it and want to do it more in the future.

My doc put me on the Vivelle Dot 2 days after surgery. OMG! My sex drive is way higher than I every remember. Unfortunately we can't have penatrative sex yet, but we can do other things.

I sure hope it stays this way!
