after a hysterectomy??????

My doctor discourages douching. For "extra freshness" he recommends sitz baths. He told me to put some baking soda in the water before I take my bath. Then just splash the solution against the exterior genital region.

I would ask your doctor that question. I wouldn't but that's just me.

after a hysterectomy??????

Both my Drs. (GP and OB/GYN) discourage douching unless medically necessary. They say just "freshening/cleaning" douches does more harm than good. Douching changes the PH Balance of the vagina increasing the risk of yeast infection.

The gyn's I have seen in my life all discourage against douching.

I use Summers Eve feminine wash----(outside area)

Same here...douching is discouraged.

Always check with your doctor when in doubt.

Take care!
