Estrogel

My doctor took me off Estrace 4mg a day due to headaches, and lack off sex drive, moodiness and the list goes on. He put me on Estrogel, I was just curious if anyone else had used this hormone, and if you had any luck. My moodiness eased a bit but the headaches are almost intolerable, and I break out like I am 12.

I haven't used Estrogel, but do use a compounded estrogen cream as part of my hrt. For me, it has worked well. I love that it is easy to use and the doseage can be easily tweaked.

I think the Estrogel is a good choice. I have heard good things about it. I hope it works out for you.

I am presently on estrogel after trying the patch for a couple of months. I like the gel better - it is quick and easy to apply and dries quickly like deodorant!! I have only been on it about 3 weeks now, 2 pumps each morning. I haven't quite figured out how much I am absorbing or how 2 pumps per day is the standard dose for everyone!! Good luck - hopefully you will like it too.

I also take to pumps a day, and have found that by the last week or so it seems to dispense less, and my HA, and other symptoms increase

If your dispenser is not working well, it means that the bottle is empty as far as regular use goes, even if something is coming out. Have you counted the doses? There are 60 in each of my bottles, so each one lasts me 20 days (I use three pumps each evening).

I really like the Estrogel. I got rashes from the patch and I have digestive problems so prefer not to take any pills I don't have to.

Hey! Thats good to hear about the Estrogel! I have started using just last week! I am not sure wht to expect, but I guess in time I will see!

Am just curious....did you suffer from headaches prior to going on the Estrogel.

I have not had any headaches to speak of since surgery.
