Adenomyosis trouble wearing Clothes?

Anyone feel like their pants are too tight? I can't stand to even have jeans on. I've been like this since end of Feb. Dr. has me on antibiotics for 2 weeks for infected uterus (she thinks). I've been taking them for a week now and still have low grade fever and pain. Just wondering if I'm just loosing my mind. Really tired or feeling crappy 2-3 weeks a month. I started my period yesterday, but I'm barely bleeding. Only when I go to bathroom. My lower back hurts too. Pain meds help a little, but can't take them and work.

Adenomyosis trouble wearing Clothes?

Hi Angelee. Sorry you are suffering.

My doc suspects I have adeno but my periods are heavy and clotty (like passing liver) for the first few days. I feel crampy most of the month like, "Oh, my period must be due." Then I look at the calendar and see it's 10 days away.

I also have bad trouble with my bowels. I cannot wear tight jeans, Spanx, or hip belts that bind or my ab. swells up and bloats. I think it is from restricting the passage of gas prob. due to adhesions and scarring.

Has your doc done an abdominal and transvaginal ultrasound? It's a great diagnostic tool to look at uterine swelling, your reproductive organs and the abdominal cavity.

You could also check w/your PCP about the low-grade fever. I've had one w/swollen throat glands off and on for four months -- still trying to pinpoint the cause.

The most important advice you'll receive here is to be pro-active and be your own advocate. Ask questions of the doc and write down the answers. If you are uncertain if what you're experiencing is normal for your treatment, then make a follow-up appt. ASAP.

Adenomyosis trouble wearing Clothes?

yes - my jeans became very uncomfortable. I hated to wear them because the cut me in half in my middle, and were big and baggy through my legs and butt. So I got use to wearing sweats and stretchy pants than would give in my middle, I have not tried jeans yet, but my tummy is visibly smaller than before my surgery.
Best wishes to you.

This happened to me recently too. I ended up going down 4 sizes in pants because nothing would fit on my butt but it was always too tight on my stomach region (lower abdominal region). I thought I was going crazy, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's swelling from the uterus. Sorry you are going through all of this too.
