I was reluctant to get a hysterectomy - you hear the stories of those who have endured very difficult outcomes, but overall, and six months out, I would say it was worth it.
Before, two menstrual cycles a month, hormonal migraines, pelvic pain, and a failed ablation.
After, it was a difficult and long recovery; I definitely needed eight weeks to recover enough to go back to work, and there were days with no energy, weeks with urinary issues, and lots and lots of worrying.
But now, no migraines (first time in 20 years), no pelvic pain, and no periods!!
Orgasms are better but overall I have a lower libido. That will probably change after I finally get a vacation 😜 And I have more yeast infections now but happy I did it and would do it again.
Total laparoscopic hysterectomy: Worth it
