Pain in right side

Hello
I know this has been mentioned before, but I can't find the posts. I had an emergency TAH on the 11th April for a grossly abnormal 14-16 week size fibrous uterus.
I have a dull ache constantly to the right of my belly button and slightly below, which extends across for about 4-5 inches. Sometimes the pain becomes so much worse. I can't pin point what makes it worse. I'm taking regular analgesia and medication for bowel spams.
I'm just getting so worn down with the pain and taking medication constantly.

I'm going to see my GP tomorrow.

Any advice?
Sammy

Pain in right side

Hi Sammy
I'm sorry you're continuing to hurt like this. I can't say I had this exactly, but I did have some on going pain. For me I'm pretty sure it was my bladder taking a long time to heal.

I'm glad you're going to see your dr tomorrow. I don't have any good ideas for you, but please let us know what you find out. My pain finally cleared up with time all on its own. I hope this will get better for you soon. Hopefully there will be some other members who can share some ideas with you.
's, Rita

Pain in right side

Hi just to keep you up to date.
I saw my GP, my blood pressure was up, my pulse was up and my temperature was 37.9 !!! Felt really unwell and the pain still getting me down.
Prescribed antibiotics, more pain relief, advised to rest and do light duties at work. Trying to organise an ultrasound scan.
Could be an infection, could be adhesions????
If pain gets too bad and not coping then I need to present at the emergency department.

I just hope it settles down soon

Pain in right side

Is it high on the right side? I had my LASH on 4/23 and my gallbladder removed on 6/12. I started having gallbladder attacks after my surgery and pain on my right side right under the rib cage, sometimes from the middle of my stomach around the right side to the back, come to find out, for months I had been having back pain between my should blades that I thought was from my job, it was the gallbladder, the pain is gone.

Check with your doctor to see if it could be your gallbladder, you can have an ultrasound done and a hidascan to test the ejection fraction. Oh mine was a 0%, normal is anything over 35%, the higher the better.

Best of luck

I have pain to the right of my belly button as well too. I have noticed when I sit up straight for several hours that my insides hurt. I am almost 6 weeks post op.

Pain in right side

i think its the muscles hurting from healing and all the stretching and pulling they went thru. I still get pains and stuff at 7 weeks. Some take my breath away.

Just to keep you up to date. I had an ultra sound scan today and the technician called the radiologist in during it. The radiologist was unhappy with what she was seeing and I am to have an MRI first thing tomorrow morning. There appears to be something wrong with the right falopian tube, but she couldn't decide what.

Will let you know tomorrow the results.
