Do Hyst. with Endo excision take longer to heal?
Hello everyone, and thank you in advance for your help! I am 26 yars old and almost 1 month post op. I had a total hysterectomy- the only thing left is my left ovary. I had it due to adenomyosis, poly-cystic ovaries and endometriosis, so at the same time they cut the endometriosis out. My question is does that mean it will take longer to recover, or is it still 6-8 weeks. I know everyone is different, so even if you do not know for sure, if you could share your experience I would appreciate it. Thank you!

Re: Do Hyst. with Endo excision take longer to heal?
I think it is definitely an individual thing. I've seen some people bounce back very quickly, but then some are still having issues months after their hysterectomy. I feel like mine is just moving along slowly. My energy level goes way down when I do some things around here. I know I won't be back to work for a while since I clean houses for a living and the dr has done told me it would probably be at least 8 weeks or more for me. I am really looking forward to my 6 week exam to see how everything is healing up inside. Best wishes on your recovery
