Guess what ?!

...........So yesterday I went to see the gynocologist, fully expecting to agree to a date early January for my hysterectomy (as reccomended by my G.P.), to be informed that I dont , at this point need one....just a laperoscopy to establish the reason for the abdom pain...Hurrah !!..I could have kissed him and was so relieved at the news,that I skipped out of the consulting room without knowing the time of my tiny op on Jan 8th.....hopefully he'll send that on to me !! However, having read the book.. searched the internet..read all the info on here from the girls, as and when I DO have my hysterectomy, I shall probably be able to direct it ,ha !!!

I'm awfully glad that your doctor is exploring the reason for your pain before performing surgery which might not be needed, and might not resolve your pain.

Have you visited the Hyster Sisters Options and Alternatives Message Board and theOptions and Alternatives Resources yet? There's a lot of good information there about alternatives to a hysterectomy that might be helpful.

Please let us know what you find out.
