Feel Great after 5 weeks!

I really can't complain about post-op. I don't know about most of you but I was so sick prior to surgery, the minor aches and pains that I have are barely noticed. I underwent an LSH with the added bonus of Gallbladder removal! Anyway, I was able to go back to work after two weeks post-op and just took a trip down to New Orleans for the weekend. I wish that everyone had my team of doctors and such a carefree recovery. I just want to give some of the fresh post-ops some hope. I am going back to the gym next Thursday and will begin training with my personal trainer again. I do get a slight swelly belly after I have been on my feet too long, but it magically disappears when I sleep. Keep in mind that I was carrying around a 16 week calcified fibroid the size of a grapefruit...ugh. Good luck to all!

I know just how you feel. I have been off work since October because of two 12 week non-calcified fibroids outside my uterus that had attached themselves to every major/minor organ and muscle. The day before my surgery I looked and felt 6 months and couldn't wait for surgery - except for the doctor's concern that she would find cancer. It's been hard to not do too much when I feel so good compared to how I felt pre-op. I'm glad to hear that you are doing so well and it encourages me to know that it is possible to get back to living so soon after surgery. I have my two week check this week and hope to get a go ahead to return to work - three months off pre-op is too long for me.
