Wow.. pushed a little to much today and...

My body pushed right back.. Three weeks post op tomorrow and have been doing great with totally taking it easy.. Really laying down, avoiding to many stairs, played by all the rules so far..

Today have been up and down my stairs and my discharge became heavier with some slight cramping.. I know to be patient but I am sick of laying down.. I just want to be me again

I did the same thing just shy of 3 weeks. Landed myself in the Dr office with a ticked off incision. I was told by my NP to get myself back on the couch. My motto after that became bored and stir crazy beats repair surgery. Slow down, this is still very early in the healing process. Hang in there.

I know how you feel, it's such a pain, but its when your feeling so good you need to try and not be complacent. I had my tvh on the 7th sept 2011, I had discharge for 4 weeks, only slight, but I started to do more walking ( which is advised after 3rd week) this should help move the discharge along quicker and stop it all together. I was taking my dog for a walk, and although feeling very bruised still after a week of this I started to feel better, and all discharged stopped. My problem now is the weight gain so as of today I have started a no carb diet and cut out all alcahol . I really hope you start to feel better soon xx

I'm sorry you're feeling so discouraged. Unfortunately there's no predicting how our bodies will react, and we won't know unless we try, right? It feels like you're ****ed if you do & youre ****ed if you don't.

Just know you will be feeling like you again soon.

keep doing the stairs, but do it maybe twice in one day and go slowly. You need to move around, but mostly, you need to just sit around and let your parts heal.

Eeekkk... Twice a day? Sigh.. My bedroom is downstairs with another bathroom.. The rest of my family is upstairs. I cant get comfortable upstairs enough so I come back down.. I get lonely down here though hence the more up and down today..

Recovery is lonely isn't it? Just trust that a better day will come.
Everyday is different, and tomorrow may be a much better day, as HappyAfter, said.

At least you know what your limits are for now, and that you should dial it down a bit.
I live on the third floor, so I limit most days to just pacing around my apartment.
