i was wondering a rather personal question.. if i am to have a huge gaping hole where my uterus used to be (and yes i am very uneducated about my body so bear with me.. i also happen to be the epitomy of a ditsy blonde..SMILE!~) but where will all the extra stuff (semen & such) go after i have nowhere for it to go now? will i notice an emptiness where my uterus used to be? im not gonna get all manly am i? much as i love some aspects of men, i sure dont want to BE one!!~

Hi Moontt,

Not everyone has to do bowel prep. It depends on your surgeon, your surgery, and what is involved in your case. I didn't have a bowel prep either. Just follow your doctor's orders, and if you have any questions about what else you may or may not need to do, don't hesitate to call your doctor's office.

I love your attitude Metzesu, you gave me a good laugh. I'll remember this in 2 weeks when I get ready. I didn't know we had to do bowl prep. I just had a colonoscopy and OMG it was the one of the most disgusting thing I've ever done. I like your cocktail better than the bowl cocktail!

Moon...don't worry. Each dr has different prep procedures. If you followed your dr's instructions, you'll be fine. Also, there will not be a big hole. They will sew that shut. It will be like an upside down U - which it sort of was before as well. Actually it may be "shorter" after surgery (like a lower case u - ha ha). But my dr says it will all go back to normal in time. I didn't notice my uterus being gone until the dr did the internal exam. I don't notice it during sex either. Still have the big O. I am on an estrogen patch and have noticed no negative side effects or manliness! I had the same problems picturing it all. The first time we had sex after was when it all kind of became clear for me. I could "feel" how it all went together.
