Walking

Had TAH and BSO 5.10.12. Have been walking out in fresh air for ten mins a day. Will be increasing it to twenty mins tomorrow. I live at the to of a hill about 100 yards. I read somewhere that you shouldn't walk up and down hills but do you think this would be ok if I only do it once a day as walking along the road is getting quite tedious.

Re: Walking

Hello
I wasn't told to not walk hills but was told that I would find this harder than on the flat. I also found walking down hill more uncomfortable than uphill on my tummy. My view would be do what you feel is comfortable and take it slow. Just make sure you don't head out and then are too pooped to get back up the hill again! Oh, also I found little steps more comfortable than striding out to start with.

Enjoy the fresh air, hope it stays dry!

Re: Walking

Australia 1,

Just listen to your body. If you are overly tired or sore, then don't do it. If not, take it slow and don't go so far that you can't get back.

If you have a question, just call your doctor's office to be sure.
We all have different opinions, and we might not be giving you the best advice for you.
My doctor allowed me to walk for 10 minutes a week after my hysterectomy.
My house is on a small hill.
