2 Days and Counting!

Well, sisters, I have 2 more days to wait! My SAH is scheduled for 08/01/03 and I can't hardly wait. I have all my goodies ready to be packed tonight. My told me that she was going to try to do me first on Firday..WOOHOO! This site has really helped me prepair for my visit to the Castle. Before I found this site I was VERY scared and nervous, but now, Im looking forward to it. My
Dr said that I should have only a 3 day stay in the Castle. My house is all ready, even went to the grocery store so DH and my neice will have plenty to cook next week. Do you think I would be a good Idea to give DH a list of names and numbers to call after my surgery and let folks know I am OK? Did anyone take magazines to the Castle with them? I have a private room so I can watch TV all night (I need the noise to sleep). Should I get a body pillow to take to the CAstle? I know I will need one at home, was just wondering about the Castle. I would greatly appreciate any advise on things I need for my CAstle trip. Have a great day!

((((Beaniegal))))))))),

It sounds like you are all ready.

Yes have a list of people and phone #s to call. You won't be able to supply them post op off the top of your head

I didn't take any pillows to the hospital with me, I didn't want to risk them getting lost, forgotten or stained. I wore the hospital gowns also, let them do the laundry !!!!!!!

Do have dh bring pillows for in the car when you are released, The ride home was worse then the surgery to me !!!!!!!!!

Best wishes,

Pamcat

Beaniegal~

I agree with Pam except, I am taking my tummy pillow to the castle with me, I've heard it helps to use it when you want to repositions yourself or get in and out of bed. I also bought men Hanes long pj's to wear so I don't have to grace everyone with my backend or take a robe.

Wishing you an uneventful procedure and pain free recovery.
