One year later and sudden pain - please help

Well it has been one year since my surgery and everything was fine until a week ago. All of a sudden i started getting this shooting pain and it feels like something is trying to come out down there but i have nothing left inside. They took everything out. Also, my lower back is in a lot of pain. I went to the dr. 2 days ago and she did a pelvic exam and put me on 2 antibiotics for preventitive measures. No uti or anything out of the norm that she could tell. So she sent me for a CT yesterday.
Now, she is on vacay for 2 weeks and they said unless it was a pressing issue than they would wait until my dr got back to go over results. Last night the pain was very bothersome and I was so nauseated so I laid down at 7 for the night. While laying down I got bad dizzy spells that seemed to even wake me up. It seems to be getting worse. I'm not sure if I could wait 2 weeks for the dr. to get back to get the results. I have a history of getting adhesions but wanted to know if there is anything else that could be causing this.

I am sorry you are dealing with this pain! It sounds miserable!

While you may not have a uterus or ovaries, you still have many organs that could be causing you issues! Bladder, bowels, and kidneys to name a few! Depending on why you had your hysterectomy, you could also be having those issues again. And yes, adhesions could be a problem.

Is there a doctor covering for your doctor while she is on vacation? You might want to put a call in to that doctor and mention that you don't think you can wait and what should you do. Don't hesitate to visit ER or Urgent Care if needed.

I don't know what your exact symptoms are but is there a possibility you have a kidney stone?

Don't suffer, call somebody! Your GP may be able to help you!

in there and keep us posted!

That's what I was thinking! I had a kidney stone about three weeks before the hysterectomy. Pain radiating from back around to groin, feel like have to urinate alot.

Re: One year later and sudden pain - please help

Thank you for your feedback.
I think there is a dr. covering for mine while she is away. I will most likely be calling Monday morning if this does not get any better. I had thought about Kidney stones but from what I have found on the web it doesn't seem to quite fit. Also, they had me do the CT with contrast which i read was not used for kidney stones. The pain is very low in my back right where my hip line meets. I feel it worse with any movement. Hopefully it is the stones because the dr. talked about the possibility of going back in there if it ended up being adhesions.
