Bruising

I'm six days post op TAH. I have a lot of bruising from the bikini incision site down, minimal up from the incision. I was closed with surgical glue and steri strips and the incision looks great. Anyone else have bruising?

i had an LSH and all of my incision sites are bruised. the bikini line one is, by far, the worst - that's the one they basically manhandle you through, so it's to be expected!

I had forgotten about the bruising (how fast we forget!!)
I was bruised for weeks afterwards and I don't bruise easily so they must've had a good auld rummage around in there.
The good thing about the bruising is that it's a reminder to the family of the "ordeal" you went through and I made sure that I showed it to them on a regular basis!!!

I had a TAH and most of the bruising below the incision line. I had one heart shaped bruise in the middle which my nurse found amusing!!! What helped me was taking arnica 30c tablets. I'm now 4.5 weeks post op and the obvious bruising has gone, but it's still pretty tender in places.

Yes I had LSH and I was bruised by my belly button and left bikini insicisions

I had a TAH and I had ugly purple bruising by my incision. Also was closed up with just glue. The bruising only lasted for about 2 weeks. Now my incision looks great... Don't panic, it will go away...
