Is this Swelly Belly?

Hi Ladies

I had my LSH on the 23rd with my left ovary removed as well. I know my belly was really swollen initially. I have been having regular BM's for the last 4 days so much of the swelling has gone down.

The 3 incisions look good I think. No redness or discharge of any sort. I have stopped the Percocet and take 600-800 mg Ibuprofen which works okay. However, I have a very firm swelling over my left incision. It feels like a small mass. The pain is mostly right there and a little lower. But, as I said, the pain is manageable with Ibuprofen. I also am continuing to wear an abdominal binder from the hospital.

I am just worried. Is this how the SwellyBelly is? Hard over some areas?

Thank you so much! You guys are great!

Hugs, peace, and healing to all of you...

Is this Swelly Belly?

Hi serenity

I think swelly-belly is when the whole stomach is still swollen and potruding. With swellybellly it is still hard to fit in your regular clothes etc. There's a link on the front of the post-op surgery page that explains it.

I have a hard section on my a small part of incension area also, but I think that is just part of internal healing (at least I hope so). I also were the tummy band too which has helped me a lot. I take it off occassionally but I sleep in it.

Endo-One,

Thanks! I'm sure you are right. It's internal healing. It is comforting that you know what I'm talking about.

I have an appt. with my doc on Friday. I just started getting nervous, I guess. Thanks again.

Have a good night.
