I'm now 2 months post op TVH... and have had sex twice... both time I've had some vaginal discomfort the next day (not during sex)... sort of a "stretched out" feeling. Has anyone else had this happen?

Have you had your surgeon check you out? I was told NO internal sex until my OB/GYN had checked me out... it can cause the top of the vagina to pop open and create a mess - I see my doc at 6 weeks...

If you have seen your doc - likely it is an adjustment - but I can't speak from experience here...

Glad you asked the question though!

my post op instructions were "nothing in the vagina for 6 weeks"... 1st post op was at 3 -4 weeks (no internal exam), and next at 2 month... this next week - and I'm assuming i will get an internal at that time.

Hi suzy2shoes,
It's pretty common to have discomfort the next day. I'm not sure what you're feeling as I haven't experienced anything I would have described that way. I did have discomfort afterward though for a while.
Your dr should be able to put your mind at ease. What Shauna said is technically correct. If your dr told you nothing for 6 weeks and didn't schedule until 2 months he maybe wanted to wait until you had tried things out to see you. Most want to look and see to make sure everything is healed. I'm glad you didn't have anything bad happen. It sounds pretty normal, but your dr will be able to tell you for sure.
's, Rita
