6 Months Post-Op

Hello Princesses,

June 5th will be 6 months since my surgery. I want to know if any of you 6 months and longer are still experiencing swelling? I am on my feet all day at work and every day I am swollen like a tire. I am also having terrible back pain.

On a happy note, I am very pleased to say that I have not spotted one time. I have met several people that kept their cervix and they either have light periods or light spotting. After every thing that I had been through I did not even want a dot of blood to show up on my panties.

My doc did say that she cored it out really good, what ever that means. I am so grateful.

I hear that it takes a year for your body to recover. Does that mean that it will take a year for my tummy to go down?

Hi dijoi, Yes, I still swell, but only after I've done too much. It is much better than it was 2 months ago, but I'm very active all weekend so by Sunday I look like I've gained 20 pounds and my pants are tight. Thankfully my back pain is mostly gone except when I do too much lifting. I don't know if the pain is related to the surgery or not, but my back never bothered me before my cyst got huge in November. I use a heating pad when it bothers me, and that seems to help. How is your energy level? Do you feel back to normal?
