I'm Home! Yea!

I want to thank everyone for support and feed back!

I'm home from the castle! My surgery was Wed. Jan. 5th and I came home on Thursday.

All I can say is I was worked up for nothing! Everything was so great and went so well! I feel blessed with the doctor I had. I also feel blessed with the pre-op nurse I had. I was crying while I was waiting and she assured me that "faith and fear" could not occupy the same space. She was sooooo right!

Anyone who is scared (which I was VERY) I hope you know that it will all be ok. For me, I decided last minute to do the spinal block with some "la, la" drugs instead of general. I do not remember any of it - including the spinal block. I came out of surgery not very groggy. It was very nice for me.

Good luck to all of you who are in the "waiting gates". You will be soooooo glad to be on this side of the fence. You will see it is not as bad as we work ourselves up to be.

Hey! I am SO glad it went so well for you!!! It gives me hope that mine will be OK, too. I have a great doc, and I know he'll do everything in his power to take the best possible care of me. Your post was an inspiration, and I'm THRILLED for you that you came out of it so well.

Welcome Home!! I am glad everything went okay for you. Don't do too much. I came home Tuesday and pretended I was superwoman on Wednesday and am still paying for it!!

Get lots of rest!

Welcome home! Now be a good princess and remember your training: rest, drink lots of water, rest, take short walks around the house, and rest.
