Bleeding 9 days after

I have seen other posts addressing this but I would like to hear from others if they had a similar experience. I had my tah/bso 10 days ago. There was very little blood for the first day and then nothing. Yesterday I started with a slight pink discharge and last night about 10 I had bright red blood. It started during a bm and was definitely vaginal bleeding. It abated and I have just spotted a little on the pad overnite and right now it seems to have stopped. I know they said some bleeding would be normal but it scared me that it started after so much time with nothing. I have been taking it easy and very cautious so I doubt if I have hurt myself. It is Saturday and I will wait til Monday to call if it continues (unless it gets heavier) but I still am a little nervous.

My TAH was the same day as yours. I haven't had any bleeding since the day after surgery, but I just started bleeding a few minutes ago. It's not heavy, but more than just spotting. I know I read something on here before the surgery, but I can't find it. It seems like it might have something to do with stitches??? Does anybody know what's up?

Here's my take ladies. I've heard of bleeding around 10 to 14 days post op and it may be just the stitches, if it doesn't get heavier or last awhile, you're okay. If you're at all worried tho, call your doc, because he's the one with the diploma. Mine said this to me, bless his heart. I hope all goes well for you.

I had a similar situation to yours. I had a little bleeding in the hospital then it stopped for a couple of weeks and started, lightly again. My dr explained that when the stitches begin dissolving there can be pockets of blood released and as long as it wasn't heavy to consider it normal.
I agree with (((Princess Violet))) though-if you're worried it never hurts to call the guy with the diploma.

I'm at 7 weeks. I stopped spotting finally last week and just yesterday I had a bit more. I've heard as long as it is not very heavy and soaking pads it's okay, a normal part of healing.

Thanks to everyone for replies. I will, of course, contact the dr. if it doesn't stop but it really helps to hear other experiences. Thanks and I still appreciate any feedback
