Bad Day - Need a little Support
Hello Ladies, I've been hanging around out here for a little while, I've posted a few times, but have mostly been reading and learning. Today is a bad day and I need to vent!!
My surgery is just under 3 weeks away. I'm concerned about my DH and 2 DS, my god daughter is having surgery the Tuesday before me, my father is in not too good of health and going downhill. I'm afraid something will happen to him while I'm recovering, I'm afraid of what will happen to me, my sister called me today to tell me of some problems that a co-worker had during her laparascopy yesterday with my same surgeon (though I don't think it was his fault). I told her today was not the day to stress me out any more. I've been trying to work 2 jobs the last week and I think I've just worn myself out.
Sorry to be a Thanks for listening!

Love thoughts
Oh Bes,
Don't think of anything other that getting yourself healed right now. As women, many of us are raised to take care of everyone else in our lives before taking care of ourselves. But how can we do that if we, ourselves are hurting???
I know your concerns about your father...my father is also ailing...he has alzheimers and is very, very frail. There isn't anything I can do to remedy his situation, but I can remedy my own health by taking care of myself, which I will do.
Please know that we're all here rooting for you, sending you love thoughts and healing prayers!
Simi

((((BES))))
I am sorry that you are having a bad day. I am pre as well and yes, sometimes anxiety gets the upper hand. That goodness you and I have found the Hystersisters boards and each other.
Be good to yourself and do what you need to do for BES. Sometimes us caretakers get so focused on everyone else that we forget how important we are too.
Bes you have a right and a responsibility to take care of your health issues. In the long run it will benefit those around you because you will feel good again.
I wish I could give you a hug in person. Please take 30 minutes to do something that will make you feel good.
Perhaps I'll see you in chat later.
Jodie

Thank you
Thank you, thank you, thank you, Simi and Jodie for responding, it definately helps when you can let it out and you think people do actually care. I am going to take some time out for myself when my DH gets back in town tonight. I don't know how much I'll get, it depends on when he gets home. Maybe I will see you in the chat room, Jodie, and Simi, I'll say a prayer for your father as well.
Thanks again,
BES
