painful sex

I haven't been on here in quite awhile,but Im having a continuous problem I wanted to get your thoughts on.I had my surgery in june last year and had posterier repair as well.I was afraid to have sex for a long time and therefore didn't until january of this year.Well, it still hurts like razer blades even with astro glide ! My sister who had the same thing says it just takes time and a lot of stretching to get it back comfortable again.Well,we only have sex once a week for obvious reasons.Im wondering if that is enough to stretch things out and also,if anyone else has had this problem?If so how long did it take you?please don't reply if you have had absolutley no problems as this is very discouraging to me.I want to hear from those of you who have had this problem,but it has gotten better.Thanks girls.

Talk to your doctor. You may have some vaginal atrophy going on and that can be treated with different meds. I was having some problems and with pain during sex and the vaginal estrogen cream REALLY made a difference. Good luck!

I had that problem until I began using VagiFem; it's a tablet you insert into the vagina for estrogen replacement. I only used it one time, and voila, problem solved. It is expensive; you might want to ask the doctor for Estrace cream or Premarin cream, much cheaper I hear. Your problem is solvable, though, I think!

Oh shoot. You are scaring me. I had my TAH in October and we have yet to do it. Now I'm really worried.

CJL please don't let my situation scare you.I had a lot of vaginal repair work done and I waited over 6 months to try anything because I was soo scared.I also don't do any HRT.I do have some premarin creme I can start using again.I used it to help heal things right after surgery and also for a few months after.I stopped using it because I was afraid it would give me cancer if I used it very long.I have had so many cancer scares before my surgery.That is actually why I had the Surgery.I didn't want to have that scare any more.But my sex life is really suffering.So, I will try it and see.But another reason why I quit was because it says on the tube not to get it on a mans penis.So how can you have sex with that stuff inside you and NOT get it on him?Doesn't it stay in there as long as you use it?
