9 days post hysterectomy and Feeling like I'm not making any progress...

I'm 9 days post op and I'm feeling like I'm not making any progress with feeling better. I'm still extremely uncomfortable so I had to call my doctor for more pain meds. If I'm up moving around just a little bit I have to spend the rest of the day in bed. I don't know if it's because I've had a c-section, cone biopsy, and now hysterectomy all in the past three months that my body just isn't bouncing back as quickly as I thought it would? Is anyone feel this way? When will I start feeling better?

kj, you definitely have had a lot going on in the last 3 months. So it will obviously take more time. I am 17 days post op by Laparoscopic Da Vinci Robot and even now if I do to much one day I am down the next.

Re: Feeling like I'm not making any progress...

I'm 4 mo out, loaded camper ( light ) saved heavy stuff for hubby. I think it set me back. Hang in there. My biggest gripe is how no one told me how long this recovery would be. Keep resting and one day at a time. Your not alone. But it's so much better still at 4 mo then the first 6 wks, it gets better ! Hugs !

Hi KJ, it could be because you had a lot done with your body in 3 months. I couldn't imagine going through all that in 3 months. I am 9 days from my surgery and want to go shopping but I keep telling myself I can't lift anything. You will feel better soon. Rest Rest and more Rest!

9 days post op is not much. You need to let your body heal and not try to rush things. We all heal at different rates. You just need to rest and listen to your body.

My abdominal was on May 23rd, and I'm still in agonizing pain. Every body is different - and yours has been through hell lately!
