Post op bleeding at 2 months from LASH procedure

I had the LASH procedure done August 27. The only thing removed was my uterus due to heavy bleeding.
I knew I would still "feel" the affects of a cycle each month, but was not suppose to bleed.
I can tell I am in what would be 'that' time of the month. I have been bleeding now going on 4 days..a little heavier each day and now red blood as well.
Has anyone else had this? And how is this possible if I have NO uterus!?!?
Thanks for any help or insight!

Re: Post op bleeding at 2 months from LASH procedure

If you still have your cervix you can have mini periods. I have read here that you can have it cauterized & that can help with the bleeding? I hope you get some answers soon.

Re: Post op bleeding at 2 months from LASH procedure

Hi Workerbee2,

It sounds like it might be a mini-period. As Seabutterfly1 mentioned...if a Hyster Sister keeps one or both ovaries and the cervix..there can be a chance of a mini-period in post-op.

I might suggest you call your Dr...just to be on the safe side. Did you have your cervix cauterized during your hyst. If not...possibly your Dr. does post-op cervix cauterization. It is generally done as an outpatient in the Dr's office.

Hope that helps.

Best wishes~

Mary

Re: Post op bleeding at 2 months from LASH procedure

Thank you both so much! I am still waiting to hear back from my doctor's office. After all of this and the cost, etc the bleeding was to stop for good!! I'm ready to get off the emotional roller coaster. Hopefully it is something as simple as a one time mini-period. If this continues each month....ugh. just my luck! just doesn't make sense though without a uterus. hopefully the doctor will have some answers as well.

Thanks again!

Let us know what they say. I know my moods are still the same because they happen because of the ovaries. Hope you get some answers soon.
