home from castle

Hi everyone.

Just takin a second to tell you I made it home from the castle. I stayed a day longer than I planned. Pain was pretty intense but getting a little better each day. He ended up taking my uterus, cerivx, and left ovary. So I am happy with results. I am on lortabb. Luckily the gals from work signed up to bring us dinner every night today through next monday so that will be a huge help.

Thanks for all the supportive messages. Glad to be home and starting on the road to recovery.

Welcome home

I'm glad that you are home and feeling better each day! How sweet that your co-workers are preparing meals for you! Big s to them!

Take care of yourself, drink plenty of water, take short slow walks, rest, and enjoy your pampering!

Welcome Home!

Glad to hear you are home and feeling well. I leave tomorrow for a stay at a hotel then onto my big day on the 18th. Nice to see you were able to sit long enough to type at your computer. I'm already looking ahead to being home.

Good Luck with your recovery and stay in touch.

Thanks Cathy and Carrie. I plan to get plenty of rest. I had planned (in my head) to stay in the hospital 2 nights but after seeing how I felt ...tired and sore. I opted to stay another night, especially since it was covered by insurance. I had great nurses which really made a difference. Sure helps with your healing.

Take care.

Im going in for TVH on 5/25, with good chance of TAH, and was wondering when I might come home. Looks like possible Friday or Saturday, my Dr. office told me to plan on at least 2 days. Cathy

Cathy-

Yes, definitely plan on 2 nights. That is the very minimum I think you would need. I swore I'd be outta there in two to be with my kids but just knew I needed more rest. I will make a note of your surgery date so I can wish you well before you go. Any questions be sure to post them and we will help you out.

Take care.
