Very scared and nervous

Hi all,

Well I am having my surgury (tubal) this coming tuesday Sept 19th and while he is in there he is going to explore everything very closely. My dr keps telling me that he thinks its endo causing the pain and while the surgoen does the tubal he will have to cut the scar tissue to examine everything closer. As I went to register in the ospital I talked to one of the nurses that will be in therenad she says he wont do anything but the tubal. I dont want this done and have to go back in I could have lived with getting the depo every 3 months I went in for pain not to have my tubes tied and thats it. But I guess my Dr thinks he has to take some of it out anyway just to see thing clear. I was told if he has to do a hyst it was going to be a vaginal hyst Has any one had it done that way? Personally my dr doesnt think i need a hyst but I know in my heart that there is somthing more wrong that just scar tissue. For instance I had a cyst rupture about a month a ago and it seemed to bother my dr but now i had another one rupture it sems like it is a common thing I think there is somthing wrong in that area does anyone feel the same? I gues I am very nervous right now woith the surgury being in just a few days not knowing what exactly is wrong. My Dr is stumped with what is wrong as he has done every test on me Wish me luck and everyone take care ill keep you informed with what i hear

Have you sought a second opinion about what your medical condition might be and how a tubal might or might not help? Have you asked another dr what your options might be?

I hope your surgery goes well you this week. Do keep us posted!

I agree with Weiser.

I would get a second opinion. Especially since you stated you went in for pain. Have you had a diagnostic lap? Those can see what is going on and if you have endo.

A tubal is just that it is a tubal. There are mix thoughts on tubals and women with endo if that is what you have.

Does the depo help you to feel better or worse? I ask because I took it for a few years for the treatment of endo.

I'm sorry to ask more questions.

I hope you can find an answer to your pain.

yeah I have had 3 Drs look at me one thought I had the IBS syndrome and I did what he toldme to do and it helped my stomach but nothing else. I have seen my Dr who is great but is dumbfounded on whats wrong with me so he then sent me to another specialist. That is the one who is doing t he tubal and the Lap. Hopefully he can find out what is wrong otherwise I am going to see a urologist if I spelled that right. I have been on the depo since I had my daughter in Dec of 2003 It didnt help at all and what seemed to make the pain worse was when i had my appendix out. I hope he finds whats wrong on Tuesday so I can possibly get on with my life Thank you for all your support It means a lot to me right now
