I think this %#&@ cold is getting worse.....

Well, as some of your know surgery was suppose to be the Oct 10th and on the 8th I found out that I didn't just have a cold I have strep throat. I've been taking antibiotics but I think the cold has turned into a sinus infection. Ughhhh. Surgery is re-scheduled for the 22nd and now I'm worried I'm not going to make it for that one. I started out last week taking Sudafed cold now I've switched to Sudafed Sinus. Throat feels much better but I can't breathe thru my nose and my eyes are puffy.

On the good side, I am doing weight watchers and lost 1 1/2 pounds this week. LOL.

Give me strength. Thanks for listening to my frustration.

I'm so sorry that you're still not feeling well. You do still have 10 more days to get well so I'll be praying that it all turns out for you. Please remember to keep your dr informed about where you are healthwise. If you are still ill, rescheduling your surgery might be in your best interests.
Congrats on the weight loss. It sounds like you're going about it in the right way and not trying to lose too fast. Slow and easy is the way to go! It might be a good idea to mention your diet to your dr also. You never know what might have an impact on your surgery.

Dear Missy,

I'm so sorry that you are still sick - please call your - he may want to prescribe a much more powerful antibiotic than the one that you are taking for the strep throat.

You can even call his office today and have his answering service reach the doctor on call for the weekend, and that way you'll have a head start on knocking out the sinus infection (if that's what it is).

I too am waiting for my dates, but guess what my 11 years old came home from school on friday with 'mum I've got a sore throat' great I'm keeping away as much as pos I will do like some other posts have recommended and go to docs today, I think you should phone your doc missy and get different antibiotics to clear up what it is you have, my throat is getting more sore as I write, (britain is in a bit of a flu like virus crisis)help hope yopu get rid of your little gremlins soon missy and you get your visit to the castle.
