Tylenol 3 with codeine old meds!!

Hello any of you know what would happen if you took some pain meds that were old will they just not have the same effect if they were from this year? Would there be any other side affects of taking meds that were old and not 2007?? Im thinking they would just not have the same punch as if they were recently prescribed??? Anyone have any advice about this??? Ran out of pain meds and doctor is away but hubby has some tylenol 3 with codeine just need something to take the edge off think they will help even though they are old?

I am sorry you are in pain and your doctor is out of town.

I think it is unwise to take medication that is old and not prescribe for you. This is similar to what your doctor and pharmacist would tell you as well. Additionally, it is illegal to take medications prescribe for someone else.

Which doctor is out of town? Your GYN or your GP? If you are in pain and needing pain medications, call your GYN if your GP is out of town or you GP if your GYN is out of town. You can also go to Urgent Care or ER.

Also, my neuorlogist office can actually refill certain pain meds for me even if the doctor is unavailable. Have you asked your doctor's office if this can be done for you?

Take care of yourself and talk to a doctor before taking your husband's old prescription medication. s
