Bladder Issues after hysterectomy

I am three and a half weeks post davinci partial hyster. I had the cathera and stints during the surgery. I am experiencing pain at the end of urination. It does not burn, rather it like a cramping and is uncomfortable. I dread urinating. Doc says Initial Urine culture does not reveal UTI.

Had anyone else had this issue?

I'm five weeks in, I've still got that, I drink loads of water helps and I've just discovered naproxen stops the spasm after urinating, my doctor told me from where bladder has been battered and bruised. Hope this gives you bit of help. X Debi

I am almost 3 weeks post op from same type of surgery. I had to get my uterus, cervix and tubes out. I was having painful urination up until a few days ago. Then I realized that it wasn't hurting but I couldn't tell WHEN I had to go until I was about to bust! I am in school for medical assisting and I ha my teacher do a UA on me which revealed lots of leukocytes so I called my doc and they sent me in for a STAT urine which showed no infection. During surgery the nerves in the bladder get messed with and the ureters get manipulated. This can cause our issues but they will pass.

I experienced the same thing. It will pass :0)
