Best Wishes to our Thursday, January 8th Princesses

Thank you all for your wishes. I have actually been almost o.k. with all of this, until last night. I think I slept for about 3 hours, lots of tossing and turning, stomach ache, and racing mind. Just hoping I can get everything ready for my DH and 3 kids. I also have people at work stressing because of the lenghth of my time off. In my head, I know everything will be o.k. on all fronts, but of course I can't seem to tell my sub-consience that.
Have my hosp pre op today, which gets me out of work a little early, time to get some shopping done. Then a full work day tomorrow, lots of meetings already.
I am curious, how do others tell people around them, like co-workers about what is happening. I am never sure how much to tell. They will all of course know I am gone, and will hear why. I have not run around spreading the word, but I don't want it to seem like I was keeping it a secret either. Basically, I tell them I am going to be gone, if they ask I tell a little more. I also don't want them to worry, pray yes!, worry no.

Thank you so much. I also did a lot of tossing last night. Can't wait to see how tonight will go. I'm sure tomorrow night will be even worse. I just want to get there and get it done. The waiting is torture. Started crying last night. Started over a sad movie and then errupted into bawling. I'm sure it's because I'm getting more anxious and nervous as it approaches.

Best Wishes to our Thursday, January 8th Princesses

Thank you for your thoughts. Sometimes I'm nervous and sometimes I'm not. When I think about it I do get nervous because they will be putting me to sleep and I also don't want to stay in the hospital. I WANT TO SLEEP IN MY OWN BED!!!.

I have come up with several reasons to change mind, I even tried to convince myself that the fibroids had shrunk and were no longer there "Yea Right", but then reality sinks back in and I realize that they are still there, they are not going anywhere and if I continue to put this off they will just grow bigger and I will eventually start having more problems than I already have.

Please keep me in your prays.

I think it probably depends on how well you know your co-workers, whether they are men or women, and on what the unofficial office policy is on sharing personal information. I work in an office of mostly women - some of us have worked there for more than 20 years, and we are like family, in many ways. I told my closest friends at work what I felt comfortable telling them, and I'm sure that everyone else eventually knew, anyway.

I pray that all will go well for you and all the other January 8th Princesses.
