I need SLEEP!!!

My trip to the castle is coming soon. and I struggle to sleep. I even tried counting sheep last night. I can't wait to get this over with. I look forward to them knocking me out for surgery. so I finally get to "sleep." I already drain from having my last period this week. It usually takes me a week to get any energy back from being sick. Any suggestions? I really don't want to take any drugs. I was thinking more like a tea or something. What about the baby calming bath stuff? I wish I could turn my brain off long enough to fall asleep.

Re: I need SLEEP!!!

I hear ya ...I too wish I could shut my brain off from worrying.

How about trying to listen to some soothing music on an Ipod to relax you and help you sleep?

Hang in there...only 4 more days to go!

Best wishes for a successful surgery and speedy recovery.

Re: I need SLEEP!!!

I too have a whole tribe of hamsters churning away in my brain at night. Along withthe chamomile tea, try white noise like a fan in your bedroom and maybe a warm bath or shower right before bed with some kind of lovely aromatherapy potient. Do NOT look at the clock if you wake up in the middle of the night. If these don't work, consider a prescription sleep aid for the short term. I was pretty adamant that I did not want to go that route, but finally relented and have a light prescription and have slept great the last three nights. Pure bliss and I can tell a difference already in how I deal with life during the day . Good luck and sweet dreams!
