Re: Starting Lupron ~ any tips?

Update since changing from birth control pill to estrogen patch... I'm feeing much better! I'm much less moody. Yay! I can't tell yet if the tumors are shrinking much. I'll check back in a while to let you know if I notice a difference.

M~
I don't have any advice or tips for you but can offer some support. I too will be starting Lupron this week. I have some whoppers we're hoping to shrink with Da Vinci partial my goal. Hang in there sister. We can support each other thru this.

Re: Starting Lupron ~ any tips?

I took Lupron injections for a few months. It caused mild side effects, but doc gave meds called "add back therapy" that supposedly add back enough of the lost hormones. It was not a bad.experience. the Lupron just didn't help me much.

Good luck! Remember to talk to your doctor about any awful side effects. I can't tell you how much better I feel now that I switched add back therapies! When is your surgery?

Did the tumors not shrink? How long were you on it?

All growths are benign, not cancerous, and no change. I was on Lupron for 4 months. It didn't change any problems, so doc took me off and suggested a.hysterectomy.

Re: Starting Lupron ~ any tips?

Hello,
After 6 months of Lupron for me I felt the following:
Dry/irritated vagina-sex was NOT fun
Wicked hot flashes
Cried a lot
NO libido (it was as if someone blew out my pilot light)

It was not sucessful for me either, so kinda a waste....
I WAS pain free, which was blissful...
HTH,
BJ
