Not too bad!
Stayed 3 nights in the hospital, plus had 2 surgeries - $12K
Dr and Anesthesiologist charges - $4K (total)
Not too bad - and I had such great care!
My insurance will pay all but approx. $600 of this . . . yeah!!

I totally agree with Angie, I am so glad to live in the UK and have National Health. I saw the Gynaecologist on the 29th December and had my op on the 3rd March. Further more because I now have an ongoing problem with my bladder which requires meds and catheters etc I have now become entitled to all my medication free.
Good luck and God Bless to all you Systers who have to pay these bills
Luv Peachy xxxxxxx

Got my Hospital Bill
Wow, such a variety of billing amounts! Don't know my total yet ... but before we left the hospital they called my room to ask me about what I thought I owed... If I had been feeling better I would have been a little sarcastic. They determined that I owed 1,800.00
I told them I could pay part of the $1800.00 but not all... my dh checked me out and put it ALL on the credit card!!! I still love him but I sure wish we could have made payments to the hospital instead of to the credit card company.
We have a 2,000.00 out of pocket limit after deductables. I pray the rest (path, dr, anesthesia, etc) will be covered. I'm already losing a paycheck to this whole thing. Can't afford anymore.
Would I do it again to stop the pain? YES!!

Got my Hospital Bill
$34,810 for two nights.. just for the Hospital.. after that there is the Doc and Anest. and any and all tests. I think I will owe about $150.00 after all is said and done... that should include the doc and any visits.

Deductible and copay
I will have to pay a $250 deductible to the hospital, and then 10% of everything. Can you say "payment plan?"

Got my Hospital Bill
I still have only seen one bill, but the rest are now on my HMO's website. It is actually less than expected -
DR - $ 3,995 ; Surgical assist DR $ 900 ; A man - $ 2,295 ; Radiology - $ 95; Hospital 3 night stay - $16,405 for a total so far of $23,690.
The amount that I will have to pay is $100 for my hospital co-pay. This is my first experience with my new HMO. All my DRs were in its network and so far so good.

Got my Hospital Bill
Update
I got the bill from the hospital finally, not sure if there will be more or not as this included pathology, and anestesia, however it was for 32 thousand dollars, and I have to pay 33 dollars.
