TAH Recovery Has Been Difficult

Hey just an update. I am home finally after 2 hospitalizations. So I had an infection in my body and at the site where the dr made the incision during surgery for the hysterectomy. A home health care nurse will come out to me at home a few times a week to treat my incision area since it was decided it would be best to not close me up this time to prevent a chance of setting up infection yet again. I had to go home with my abdominal incision open & get wound care for my abdomen until it closes up. My mom, brother & daughter have been trained on how to change my dressing when the nurse is not there. My poor husband is terrified of messing up so his job is to hold my hand! Lol I am prayerful that this will all work out & I will heal once & for all free from this pain & all infection. Thank you for keeping me in your thoughts & prayers always.

I am sorry you have had so much trouble and had to go back to the hospital. It is wonderful you have a good support system.
