Irritable, on HRT and off sex - is this normal?

Am 6 weeks post key hole surgery, had womb, overies removed. Feeling tired, off sex and so so irritable. Taking HRT, which helps the flushes. Is this a phase or should I seek other hormonal therapy? Thanks. xx

I am sorry to hear you are going through all of this.

Some of the things you are experiencing are normal post-op recovery, especially with surgically induced menopause.

You are very early in recovery. Initial recovery is 2/4 to 6/8 weeks with full recovery, even for laproscopic surgery, going 6 to 12 months.

Give yourself a bit more time, but you may need to talk to your Dr. about some adjustments to your hormones.

Totally normal!
It is a major operation for one thing which is a lot to adjust to. Make sure you rest and look after yourself.
There are so many symptoms for the menopause, and what you are experiencing is some of those.
