Pain and bleeding

I will be 4 weeks post op on Tuesday. I have had pain in my lower ribs for about two weeks now and just figured I was using different muscles to lift my baby so I didn't use my tummy muscles. This week my mom left so I am trying to do things on my own. I pulled my 5 year old up the other day and since then I have had horrible pain in my right side. I have started to feel like complete poo. Today I have had no energy and have gone walking just to see if maybe fresh air would help. I feel very weak and lethargic. I went the bathroom tonight and had a panty liner full of blood and had blood coming out. I talked to the nurse and she said not to worry unless I get a fever or have diarrhea or vomit. I took my temp and it's 99.1 which is warm for me. I am now laying in bed wondering if I should have gone in tonight. I have been an emotional wreck today because I don't feel well. Ugh. I was hoping to feel better after all this. Thanks for listening to me.

Most women have lifting restrictions of no more than 10lbs for weeks. I would think that possibly lifting your children is more than your body was ready for.

We always talk about listening to your body. If things don't seem right and you are consistently running a temperature that is higher than normal for you, I would recommend calling your Dr. and getting info to be seen. Otherwise a trip to the ER might be good to do.

If you are soaking a pad an hour it is definitely time to get to the ER

Re: Pain and bleeding

I called the nurse this morning and they think I have an infection and or tore stuff. I went in for blood work this morning and go in this afternoon to get checked.

Re: Pain and bleeding

I dont have an infection which is good. I did tear things and have tons of swelling. My doctor recauterized where he could. I go back in two weeks to get checked and get recauterized again. I have to take it easy and not do anything. Not sure how I am gonna do it but I am going to try.

Re: Pain and bleeding

I am sorry to hear about the tears. Is there someway that you can get a teen, a neigbor, a church friend or a family member to stay with you? Is there some place the kids can go for a mini-vacation to give you time to heal?

I am sending hugs and prayers your way.

Re: Pain and bleeding

Thanks so much for talking with me and the prayers. I am going to try to find a high school student to hang out with me in the evenings until my husband gets home. A friend of mine is going to make me meals.
