anyone else dread counting down the days until the pain starts?

Ugh. I hate watching the calendar. I know I will be in pain (bloated, cramps etc) for the full 2 weeks before period arrives. I had my last period April 1, so any time now I know "it" will start. I had an endometrial biopsy on April 1st as well and was in bed for 3 days with the bleeding/cramping. I feel like I will have had MAYBE 10 good days (if that) this month.

I go back to the gyn on April 23. He really wants me to have an IUD and I dont want one (my uterus doesnt like being messed with, i dont want something foreign in my body and I am a migraine suffer, every other type of bc has made them worse).

I am fed up with this **** uterus running my life!

I used to feel the same, then the pain started to be part of my daily life. Somedays its tolerable and I can function. Others I can barely move. I have to block out as much as I can, the pain meds make me sick now.

I see the gyn on april 23 too, but its for my hysterectomy. Almost 2 years of pain has become too much. I pray your doctor helps you. Hugs!

I really hope I dont have to fight with him to give me a hysterectomy. He said he would but only after I tried an Iud.. I mean, I could easily get one. lie to him and say the headaches are unbearable... but I dont want to have to do that.....

Can you get a second opinion?

I am going to go on the 23rd.. get my endometrial biopsy results and give him the reasons why I dont want an IUD .
1) every time a test is done on my uterus I am down for days... when I should be totally fine right after.
2) the idea of something foreign in my body freaks me out
3) every method of bc (the pill, depo hell even a diaphram) causes problems.
4) after 20 years of bandaid solutions for my migraines I finally have them under control. I dont want to mess with that and I dont want a bandaid for my uterine problems.
5) the transexamic acid he said was totally safe landed me in the ER with servere visual disturbances and a migraine....

I am 40 on wed. I rather have the surgery NOW than in 4,8, 10 years.

if he gives me trouble. I will go somewhere else.
