My LAVH was May 19th

I'm so tired and exhausted. Don't understand why I can't stay awake. Maybe, it's the pain meds. I think I will begin to wean myself off of those. I am able to pass some gas but I haven't pooped yet and it is really bothering me. I think I will feel better once I do that. I'm just looking forward to being able to get out of the house. I'm soooo bored. Seems like all I have to look forward to is passing gas and pooping. What a life.

I know how you feel...these past few days have been very draining for me too. Every time I try to reduce my medication intake, I'm hit with a large surge of pain, and end up taking the pills anyway. I hate feeling this tired and useless. It is amazing how much we appreciate the little things, once we find that we cannot do them for a while.

I finally had my first bowel movement today.....the gas has really been terrible, LOL. To get the colon moving, I had lentil soup yesterday, prune juice, and yogart. It really helped this morning.

Had mine on May 19th too! Also had bladder sling put in. I have been off pain meds since Friday and stopped the motrin Saturday ! My main problem is very painful bowel movements. Taking Colace and prune juice and everything is coming out fine after i first get hit with terrible bowel pain ! Im up and around and went to Walmart yesterday . Moving around as much as possible is what has helped me. Im sore , but it is bearable. All i can say is i must have really felt really rotten before to be feeling so well after!!! Glad i did it!!! No issues with sling either ! Read some scary things about sling, but im fine . Stay away from soda and gassy foods and get moving! Pain meds are horrible , got off them asap! Good luck ladies im off to the grocery store to buy some fruit!!!

My niece who is a nurse told me to make this concoction!! in a small glass mix equal parts of apple juice and prune juice add milk of manesia and stir , warm a little in microwave and drink!! It worked wonders for me!!Good luck! The nurses call this the bomb!!! It works!
