TVH+Stitches

Does anyone know where the stitches are for a TVH? I know they are on the vaginal cuff but are there also some where the uterus was removed?

I had Anterior and Posterior repairs done along with my TVH so I had some exterior stitches that were like the ones that you get with an Episiotomy...... I also got a Bladder sling too.

I think they are only at the vaginal cuff and maybe what they use to attach the Vigina to the ligiments to keep that from prolapsing. Don't think they are anywhere else.

I asked my Gyno about the amount of stitches internally & he couldn't really give me a definate answer but to say "lots & lots as the stitches are very tiny".

This is why you still need to be careful of your tummy even though you have no external stitching or scarring.

you probably have sutures near your ovaries (whether gone or not) and the base of your uterus/cervix, any blood vessels, your muscle layer, your "fat" layer, and just below your skin.

Thanks for alal of the replies. I wasn't sure how careful I need to continue being. I am 3 weeks post-op.
