Emotional!!!

Feeling so emotional one day before surgery. The what ifs are going through my mind. I've had surgery before but never since I've had a child. My husband and I had THAT conversation if something happened to me. How would he care for our 6 year old? The stakes seem higher this time. Anyone else feel the same?

Re: Emotional!!!

Keep that connection with your husband, and voice your fears. The important thing you can know is you have support here for you and those around you. I send hugs your way and am thinking of you fellow sister as you go through your surgery. Please keep in touch with me.

Re: Emotional!!!

I feel the same way. Surgery is on Monday and it just feels different this time. I agree with mornin to just keep communicating with your husband, that is the best way he can support you now.
I will be thinking of you tomorrow and sending good healing thoughts you way.

Re: Emotional!!!

I am also sending positive and healing thoughts your way. Thinking of you as you go through this time in your life. Know that it is a new chapter in your book. A second chance at a wonderful, beautiful future for you and yours. Don't get discouraged, but see the beauty in each new day.

Re: Emotional!!!

I felt the exact same way and had the exact same conversation with my husband before I went in. Do lots if deep breathing today to relax and try to get into a great book for a distraction. It will all be over before you know it.

Re: Emotional!!!

You all are the best. My husband, family and friends have all been supportive but they haven't gone through our journey of pain and anxiety. I will post as soon as I'm able to. Thank you again. It means a lot!! ❤❤❤❤

Re: Emotional!!!

I was scared before my surgery as well. It is normal to be scared. But know that you too, Heathercakes, are not alone. I am thinking positive thoughts and sending them your way for you to recover. Take the time to enjoy the beauty outdoors for a little while. Yesterday, I saw 4 beautiful turkeys and 3 deer outside on our property. I live in the Sierra Foothills of California. So, take the time to see the beauty in nature. And you will get through this and get better hon.
