LAVH Swelling ... unusual!!

5 days post laparoscopic hysterectomy (kept both ovaries). I am having some weird (or maybe it's totally common) swelling in my pelvic area above my labia- actually right within the area where my pubic hair is. I've been more active today, so I thought maybe that was why, and it does seem to get better when I lay down for a while, but I'm not sure if this is normal- it's like I am bulging out of my underwear! My stomach is swollen too, but I was not expecting this. Any guidance??

7.5 weeks post op I still have that swelling and more.. Starts out as normal sized belly in the morning 6 months pregnant belly by 5pm I'm told could be a year for swelly belly..

A year? Oh goodness! The belly I was prepared for. The pelvic swelling I was not! I'm gonna need bigger undies!!!

Swelling went way down overnight- I think i was too active yesterday. I'll see how it continues- feeling better today though!

I glad to hear your swelling has gone down.

Take it easy for the next couple of day. Take time for you enjoy some movies, painting, or coloring books.
