TVH Anyone here have a Bleeding Disorder/ in hysterectomy recovery?

I'm new here and wondering if anyone else is here due to a bleeding disorder?

I have a rare platelet disorder that was finally discovered at the end of March that explains ALL of the horrific bleeding I've experienced my whole life. Once that diagnosis was reached I realized hysterectomy was the best option for me, so I just had TVH on Thursday.

I'm feeling well post-op, but wondering if there are other "bleeders" out there who could share their post-op stories, especially re: complications, or what happened when their platelets (from pre-op transfusion) wore off, etc.

So glad to hear you're feeling well post op! I haven't seen many members mention having a bleeding disorder lately, but we have had members in the past with different bleeding disorders. If you're browsing the site using full skin, you can type "bleeding disorder" in the Search bar near the top of the page on the right. I just did this, a a bunch of past threads came up.
