Having my endometriosis surgery postponed until August 2nd, 2012

I must say I like the Endometrial Specialist very much and kick myself for not seeing her sooner.

She doesn't recommend a hysterectomy at this point if need be she will take out my uterus and one ovary. Other then that given my history and such she wants to prevent it from happening.

Right now I have endometriosis on my left ureter and my Urologist and Nephrologist are both concerned on what that could do to my kidney. So she is having a urologist the morning of the surgery put in a stent (ouch!) Then she is going to through a Robotic laprascopic procedure see how bad things are with the endometriosis. I also have a very large cyst on my right ovary so she is going to look into that as well.

Then afterwards I leave the stent in for a week; now here it he me praying to god every night. You see I can't handle stents I have had two in my life and screamed every night.

She said that if she has to remove part of my left ureter then I will have the stent in for six weeks. Yikes!!!

So I am going to pray that it doesn't come to that. She is booked up unitl July. So I should be hearing from the surgery scheduler sometime this week to book it.


I turn 30 July 7th.

Oh and I will have to stay a night after the procedure.

I am glad your appointment went well and you are happy with the specialist you found!

I hope your procedures go well and you don't end up having issues with the stent. Did you share your prior issues with a stent with the specialist?

Hey Weiser,

Yes I did actually, and she said that it's the only way she can go in to remove the endometriosis on my ureter. She said her Urologist can do it in a way so it's not as bad. I'm still waiting to hear from the surgery scheduler because the doctor told me July but hasn't put me down for surgery yet until she looks over my previous surgeries.

I really didn't want the surgery the day before my 30th birthday which was scheduled for July 6,2012. So I moved it up and she is booking fast.

I have endometriosis on my left uereter and so she has to have a stent put in. If all goes well her Urologist whom I meeting with will do it during the surgery. She is cleaning out the endometriosis all over.

She is an endometrial spefcialsit so she is targeting exaclty where the implants are. She is also removing a very large cyst on my right ovary as well.
