Welts and itching

Welts and itching.
I found this group though my daughter in law trying to help me with my itching and welts. Some of the discussion talked about estrogen and nerves reconnecting to skin. Does this happen when you still have your ovaries? I want to know how long does it take for them/it to reconnect. This is driving me crazy and it doesn't help when the Doc prescribes Xanax. I thought I was allergic to the stool softener but I stopped that over 10 days ago since it was the only med I was taking and I am still going crazy. I was fine till the surgery. I called myself superwoman. Now I call myself itchy.

Welts and itching sounds like an allergic reaction to me... I would take benedryl and see if that helps.

Benedryl didn't help just raised my heart rate. I have high blood pressure and I have to watch what I take. Allergic reaction to what? And why after this surgery? Nothing new or different in my life. No new foods no new detergent or lotions. No new meds. Only thing new or different is the surgery and the pelvic floor repair kit.

I can't think why the surgery would cause welts and itching. What does your doctor say?
