Spotting 10 days after hysterectomy! What did I do wrong?!

I went back to work this past week too so was wondering if the increase in activity contributed. Thankfully my follow-up is tomorrow but I won't be seeing my dr. She had surgery herself 2 weeks ago so I'll see the Nurse Practitioner. Hopefully it's nothing major for all of us.
Mine was def increased activity the second time. Not sure about first. Please post what you find out, i need reliable opinions!!

On another forum the ladies described what IS was feeling but this is different than the cuff pain they were describing.
I am to call her tomorrow to report how the flagyl is working. I'll ask her tomorrow about this pain. My two week follow up is scheduled for this Tuesday.

I'm sure it's all normal healing but a bit disconcerting when one expects no blood!

On my 8th day I started spotting. I had no spotting the first week. I called the doctor and he said that is normal.

Do you feel that your activity level changed?

In my experience, brown blood is normal. It is old blood that can be trapped by swelling and stitches. As long as it is not heavy or bright red, it's pretty normal.

Spotting 10 days after hysterectomy! What did I do wrong?!

I'm glad this was brought up, as it's exactly what I was looking for. I'm almost two weeks post, and have my follow up thurs. Today I actually started bleeding. Like heavy passing blood clots like a period bleeding. Up until now I've only had very light spotting and am kind of freaking out. Yesterday I had to pull my parents dog away from my 4 mo old niece, so I'm praying I didn't hurt myself. I'm not having any additional pain, nausea, vomiting, or any other symptoms I was told to look for. Now I was almost due for my period when I had my hysterectomy, so don't know if that could be it. I'm just going to stay in bed for the next 2 days until I see my dr!!

It sounds like you may have overdone it a bit. Try to take it easy and see if it slows down or stops. If not, call your doctor.

Spotting 10 days after hysterectomy! What did I do wrong?!

I'm in the same boat. I had a DVH on May 21st, and everything has been fine until this morning. I had my first follow up this past Friday and my gynecologist was impressed on how quickly I was healing. I felt good and started moving around a little more comfortably. Last night, my husband and I had "outersex" and I had a mild orgasm. I'm not sure if this caused my spotting (old blood) or if it was prompted by me resuming back to almost-normal activity. This afternoon I began to have abdominal cramps, as if I was starting my period, so I decided to just take it easy for the rest of the day. However, this evening I noticed that the spotting was more of a slow flow and a brighter red; so much so, that I noticed I dripped a few drops of blood after stepping out of the shower tonight. I've been in contact with my nurse and she told me to watch out for these changes. Although I'm not bleeding like a regular period, I am concerned about the bright red blood and my cramping. Just not sure if this warrants a trip to the ER. Any thoughts?

My Dr told me some bleeding is normal but I assumed I wouldn't have any, having survived 10 days without

My typical day(s) are couch in am. Get up walk, do light dishes, light laundry. (I did bend yesterday) home alone. I feel very good so I'm pretty much up down all day. I don't walk the neighborhood, yet. I don't go out.
I have this fear that maybe the spotting will turn to bleeding?
Dumb question.. Where is this coming from?!
Thanks for reading
